Kitchen Assistant at The Borough Lagos

We are seeking a vibrant and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. You will contribute directly by ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the kitchen daily by supporting our chefs with essential preparation tasks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the efficient flow of ingredients and supplies, maintaining high food quality and cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate must be one who is detailed-oriented, capable of working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in teamwork.

Responsibility:

• Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients needed for a smooth meal preparation.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas at all times.
• Follow all food safety regulations to ensure proper handling and preparation of ingredients.
• Manage and organize kitchen supplies.
• Ensure proper storage and restocking of food stock when necessary.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment are used correctly and maintained in good condition.
• Work hand-in-hand with kitchen staff to support a smooth and efficient service.
• Perform other kitchen related tasks as requested.

Skills & Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment. 
• Understanding of hygiene and food handling best practices.
• A positive attitude and proactive approach towards work.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
