• We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Loan Collection Officer to join our team.
• The ideal candidate should have strong interest in debt collection and possess strong communication and negotiation skills.
• You will be responsible for contacting defaulting customers, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding loans while maintaining professionalism and customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers with overdue loan payments via phone calls, emails, SMS, and field visits (where necessary). 
• Negotiate repayment plans and follow up to ensure adherence. 
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions. 
• Provide excellent customer service while enforcing repayment obligations. 
• Escalate difficult cases to senior officers or management when necessary. 
• Assist in preparing reports on collection performance and recovery rates. 
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. 

Requirements & Skills

• Passionate about working in the capacity of a loan collection Officer 
• Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills. 
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally. 
• Basic knowledge of loan recovery processes and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with collection software is a plus. 
• High level of integrity, persistence, and resilience
• HND/BSc in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage. 

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working in a microfinance bank, commercial bank, or fintech. 
• Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets.
