The Junior Accountant will support the efficient financial operations of Tetra Maritime by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all accounting activities.
This role is vital to maintaining financial integrity, preparing reports, and assisting with reconciliations, while collaborating with both local and global finance teams to uphold Tetra Maritime’s financial standards and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Overall accounting of a company – voucher preparation to finalization of accounts for audit and tax returns and MIS purposes
Purchase accounting – vendor invoices receipt, three-way match and accounting
Periodic Vendor accounts review and reconciliation
Sales Accounting – sales invoice preparation, update customer accounts ledger, revenue reconciliation and client receipts monitoring and updating.
Periodic Customers accounts review and reconciliation
Cash handling & accounting
Bank book updating & bank account reconciliation
Payroll preparation, reconciliation and payments
Payee, withholding taxes deduction, payment and accounting
VAT calculation, payments and returns filing
Vendor payments – balance reconciliation and ensuring payments are done as per due dates and credit terms agreed with the vendors
Monthly closing of accounts with cash, bank, revenue, costs reconciliation
