The Manager of Information Technology will play a crucial role in ensuring that hotel associates, management, and guests can effectively utilize Hyatt technology to achieve their business goals.
This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading IT hardware, software, and networks in compliance with Hyatt standards. As this is a new opening for an IT Manager at a pre-opening hotel, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the technology infrastructure from the ground up. The IT manager will implement security measures to protect the integrity of hotel networks and systems while managing the hotel’s network infrastructure and optimizing its performance. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including hotel management, associates, and IT vendors, to maintain system availability and resolve IT issues.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to hotel associates and guests, including access to Hyatt information systems and troubleshooting issues.
Ensure compliance with Hyatt's information technology standards through established processes and security measures.
Conduct regular audits of infrastructure and systems to maintain security and compliance.
Monitor IT service levels, report issues, and follow up with appropriate resources for resolution.
Manage daily operations of the IS department, including staff supervision and performance evaluations.
Engage with hotel operations to enhance guest satisfaction through effective technology solutions.
Collaborate with vendors for installation and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Maintain backups for all supported systems and develop disaster recovery plans.
Conduct on-site IT training for end-users to optimize technology use.
Administer the annual IT budget process in line with Hyatt procedures.
Qualifications
Experience: 2 to 5 years in IT help desk or similar system support; preferred experience in IT management and hotel IT environments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management/Business, or equivalent preferred.
Certifications: Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).
Skills
In-depth knowledge of IP-based and wireless networking.
Advanced troubleshooting skills for PCs and servers.
Familiarity with Microsoft O/S and Apple OS/iOS.
