ISSOW Operator at Felton Energy Services Ltd (FESL)

About the Role:

• We are seeking diligent and safety-conscious ISSOW Operators to support the field implementation of the Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW) during routine operations, maintenance tasks, and shutdown/turnaround activities.
• This role is essential in ensuring that all work is conducted in accordance with safety protocols and permit requirements on site.
• The Company is a Gas Manufacturing Company engaged in the production of Liquefied Natural Gas, based on Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities:

Permit-to-Work Monitoring

• Ensure that work permits are properly displayed, adhered to, and closed out appropriately.
• Assist with coordinating the isolation and revalidation process for work permits.
• Participate in toolbox talks and field-level hazard assessments.

Field Safety Surveillance

• Conduct regular job site checks to confirm permit compliance and safe work practices.
• Provide immediate reporting of unsafe conditions or non-compliance to the ISSOW Supervisor.
• Support frontline technicians and contractors with permit understanding and implementation.

Shutdown and Maintenance Support

• Participate in plant shutdowns, maintenance campaigns, and routine operations by providing
• permit assistance and monitoring.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure work is carried out safely and in
• line with permit stipulations.

Recordkeeping & Compliance

• Maintain logs of permit activities and safety observations.
• Support in preparing documentation for audits and ISSOW-related reviews.
• Contribute to promoting a safe work culture and continuous improvement in safety compliance.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• Sound understanding of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and site safety protocols.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with teams in the field.
• Proactive, observant, and safety-focused.
• Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

Required Experience:

• 3–7 years of experience in an oil & gas operations, maintenance, or safety-related role.
• Previous ISSOW or PTW experience in a plant or shutdown environment is preferred.

Required Qualifications:

• OND/HND or relevant technical qualification in Engineering, Safety, or a related field.
• Certification in ISSOW, PTW systems, or HSE practices is an added advantage.
