Investment Risk Officer at AIICO Insurance

Responsibilties

• Analyse risks associated with proposed investments and financial instruments and advise accordingly.
• Conduct counterparty credit risk assessment of financial institutions using company-approved rating models to determine their credit worthiness and ratings.
• Regularly monitor and report internal and regulatory thresholds across portfolios, escalating any breach or non compliance and follow up on closure of identified gaps.
• Carry out regular market research to identify current and emerging risks as well as recommend controls.
• Help in the preparation of regulatory reports such as own solvency risk assessment, quarterly stress test reports, and review of and internal policies like investment risk management policy, ALM Charter, etc.
• Presents and actively participate in Asset-Liability Management sessions.
• Other assignments assigned by team lead and Head ERM.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 1 - 2 years experience.
