    Inventory Manager

    Responsibilities
    Inventory Planning & Control:

    • Develop and implement effective inventory management policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet operational and customer demands.
    • Plan and forecast inventory requirements based on sales trends and seasonal demands.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

    Stock Monitoring & Tracking:

    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records in the system and ensure timely updates.
    • Track inventory movement, stock transfers, and adjustments.
    • Implement and maintain barcoding, labelling, and tracking systems.

    Loss Prevention & Compliance:

    • Identify and investigate stock variances, shortages, and damages.
    • Implement controls to minimize loss, theft, or damage.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

    Reporting & Analysis:

    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
    • Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock.
    • Recommend strategies to optimize stock turnover and reduce holding costs.

    Team Leadership & Coordination:

    • Supervise and train inventory officers, storekeepers, and warehouse assistants.
    • Coordinate with procurement, sales, and production teams for stock requirements.
    • Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Inventory accuracy rate (%).
    • Stockout frequency and duration.
    • Stock turnover ratio.
    • Shrinkage and loss percentage.
    • Timeliness and accuracy of inventory reporting.

    Qualifications & Skills
    Education & Certification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
    • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, APICS, CSCP) is an advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably in [industry type, e.g., pharmaceuticals, FMCG, manufacturing].
    • Proven track record of managing inventory systems and stock control processes.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
    • Knowledge of warehouse safety and storage best practices.

    Soft Skills:

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
    • Leadership and team management skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
