Mechanical Technician at Handyware Industries Limited

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, Testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment, including granules sachet packaging machine, Cube packaging machine, cube compression machines, other machinery, engines, pumps, conveyor systems, and HVAC units, following blueprints, diagrams, and manufacturer instructions. 
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. This may include lubricating moving parts, replacing worn components, and conducting inspections for signs of wear or damage. 
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems, diagnose issues with machinery or equipment, and implement repairs to restore functionality. 
• Calibrate and adjust mechanical systems and instruments to ensure accuracy and precision in operation. 
• Conduct testing and inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential issues or malfunctions. 
• Fabrication and construction of metal works through welding, grinding and painting of metal profiles. Interpret engineering diagrams and prepare BEME. 
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries. Ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with safety protocols and industry standards. 
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment specifications. Document findings from inspections, tests, and troubleshooting procedures for reference and reporting purposes. 
• Work collaboratively with technicians, supervisors, and other team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems, develop solutions, and implement improvements to mechanical systems and processes. 
• Properly maintain and care for tools, equipment, and machinery used in mechanical maintenance and repair activities. Keep tools clean, organized, and in good working condition to ensure efficiency and safety. 
• Stay informed about advancements in mechanical technology, tools, and techniques through ongoing training and professional development opportunities. 

Qualifications:

• OND in related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain Air compressors, power generating set, Sachet packaging machines, Cube packaging machine, and tablet/cube Compression machine.
• Strong knowledge of metal works such as design, fabrication, and welding (stainless, mild-steel, aluminum).
• Strong knowledge of plumbing works.
• Ability to work with electrical systems
• Ability to prepare reports using Microsoft office suite
• Good team player
• Good communication skills.
