    Internship Coordinator

    Our client is an indigenous software development company that provides feasible and reliable solutions to the stakeholders of the education sector aiming to transform education using technology. They currently have an opening for an Internship Coordinator in Abuja.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for internship application processing and designing an engaging internship program. He/She must be passionate about identifying, mentoring and coordinating young professionals in the software industry. The Internship Coordinator is a full-time role and reports to the people operations manager.

    Job responsibilities

    • The ideal candidate is responsible for creating internship programs for students and graduates alike.
    • Create and maintain an internship policy and practice across the Company
    • Responsible for identifying and building partnerships with organizations for internships placements and programs
    • Working with cross-functional team to create topics and identify resources for the interns
    • Responsible for creating job descriptions and co-ordinating hiring process for interns
    • Work with cross-functional teams to build succession plans
    • Conduct periodic organization-wide skill gap assessment and present findings.
    • Maintain up to date records of interns, reports and placement
    • Co-ordinate new intern onboarding
    • Coach employees and act as their consultant regarding learning and development activities

    Required Qualifications

    • Software engineering background preferably or has worked in a software development organization
    • 1-3 years administrative and/or HR administrative experience strongly preferred
    • Relevant experience in talent management and talent management tools/software
    • Experience in organizing hackathons and team building activities
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Comfort level in researching, identifying and approaching new business prospects for intern placement
    • Experience in project management is a plus
