The In-Country Representative acts as the University of Derby’s representative within the designated country/region, leading on student recruitment, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement.
The role is responsible for implementing the University’s international strategy locally, building strong relationships with prospective students, parents, schools, colleges, agents, sponsors, and government bodies.
This position ensures that the University of Derby is effectively promoted within the market, delivering student enrolment targets, enhancing the institution’s brand reputation, and supporting the overall growth of international student recruitment.
The In-Country Representative also provides vital market intelligence and cultural insights to inform decision-making, ensuring the University remains competitive, responsive, and aligned to local opportunities and challenges.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Education, International Relations, or a related field
Proven track record in international student recruitment, marketing, or business development
Strong experience in managing agent networks and institutional partnerships
Demonstrable success in meeting or exceeding recruitment/enrolment targets
Experience of working with UK higher education institutions and an understanding of UKVI/student visa regulations
Familiarity with market dynamics, education systems, and government policies in the designated country/region
Event management and promotional campaign delivery experience
Experience in providing market intelligence analysis
