About the Job:

• Starcare International Hospital is seeking highly skilled and compassionate ICU Nurses to join our critical care team. The ideal candidates will be experienced in delivering advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in a high-intensity environment. As an ICU Nurse, you will play a key role in monitoring, treating, and supporting patients requiring intensive care, while working closely with doctors and specialists to provide top-tier patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and manage life-support equipment.
• Respond promptly to changes in a patient’s condition and intervene when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and infection-controlled ICU environment.
• Educate and support patients’ families with updates and emotional support.
• Adhere strictly to hospital protocols, nursing standards, and patient safety regulations.

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in Nigeria.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on ICU or critical care nursing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of ICU equipment and procedures (ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors, etc.).
• Strong clinical judgment and quick decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
• Flexibility to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Desirable:

• Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN or equivalent).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Previous experience in a multi-specialty or tertiary care hospital.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
