The Hydrocarbon Accounting Lead is responsible for ensuring the accurate measurement, reconciliation, and reporting of hydrocarbons (gas, NGLs, condensates, and crude oil) across the production, processing, and transportation network.
This role ensures compliance with contractual agreements, regulatory requirements, and industry standards while supporting operations, finance, and commercial teams with reliable production and allocation data.
Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, Chemical Engineering, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
Master’s degree or professional certifications in Hydrocarbon Accounting, Data Analytics, or Financial Reporting is an advantage
7+ years of experience in hydrocarbon accounting, production reporting, or metering operations in the oil & gas industry.
Strong understanding of flow measurement principles, allocation methods, and reporting standards.
Experience working with hydrocarbon accounting software (Energy Components, Avocet, Tieto, etc.).
Familiarity with joint venture accounting, production sharing contracts (PSCs), and commercial agreements.
Ensure compliance with OGP, OGA, NPD, DOE, and local regulatory requirements for hydrocarbon reporting.
Ensure seamless data integration between SCADA, DCS, LIMS, and financial systems (SAP, Oracle).
