    Human Resources Officer

    Job Purpose:

    Our client a leading oil and gas company in the downstream sector with operations across West Africa is looking to recruit a Human resource Officer. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing operational HR activities efficiently and effectively. The role supports people engagement strategies and initiatives across our client’s organization.

    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Talent Acquisition & People Development
      • Coordinate and support recruitment processes.
      • Organize internal training programs, learning sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
      • Provide relevant performance reports to the Group Learning & Development team to support employee growth and retention.
    2. Employee Relations
      • Assist in managing employee-related programs such as job rotation, job shadowing, and internal transfers.
      • Support the implementation of people engagement initiatives across the company’s locations.
    3. Performance Management
      • Conduct regular assessments to ensure alignment with company objectives and the Group Performance Management Philosophy.
      • Promote awareness and compliance with performance management systems and processes.
    4. Process Management & Reporting
      • Collaborate with Group HR to update employee records and align HR initiatives.
      • Assist in preparing for disciplinary and grievance hearings and addressing day-to-day disciplinary issues.
      • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and quality management systems.
      • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly HR reports in a timely manner.
      • Maintain confidentiality in handling HR matters.

    Job Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a relevant field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administration and performance management.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
    • Ability to maintain confidential records.
    • Process-oriented with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
