Human Resource Officer at Mshel Homes Ltd

The Human Resource Officer will support the HR department in implementing HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions at Mshel Homes Limited. This role involves recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in developing job descriptions and posting job vacancies.
2. Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate the hiring process.
3. Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training.
4. Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
5. Support the HR Manager in handling employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
6. Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
7. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of performance appraisal systems.
8. Support managers in setting performance objectives and conducting evaluations.
9. Provide feedback and coaching to employees as needed.
10. Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for employees.
11. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
12. Maintain training records and ensure compliance with training requirements.
13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
14. Prepare HR reports, including attendance, leave, and payroll data.
15. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
16. Support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
17. Conduct regular safety inspections and report any issues to management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
