    Human Resources Manager

    Our client, is a food service company in Nigeria. They have grown close to 100 branches of food service brands across the country and are still growing. They are looking to hire a Human Resources Manager in Port-Harcourt.

    Job Overview

    The Human Resources Manager will be assisting the Head, Human Resources in developing and implementing long-term people-related strategies that support the current and long-term growth of the organization.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist the Head Human Resources to provide supervision and team leadership as assigned in ensuring quality and timely delivery of people management service for the company to defined service standards, timescales, and budgets in the following areas but not limited to:
    • Employee Engagement – drive engagement and retention of employees at all levels
    • Employee Discipline – Ensure appropriate and prompt attendance to employee discipline issues and queries in line with established and regularly updated discipline codes.
    • People planning, resourcing and Selection - Oversee and implement the company’s manpower plan, recruitment system, policies, and procedures to ensure the company is properly staffed considering the budget, timing and skill set it needs to achieve its organizational goals and objectives
    • Employee Learning and Development – drive implementation of the company’s training system to ensure employees have regular training and capability-building sessions required to enable their effectiveness on the job within an approved budget.
    • Employee Performance Management - Oversee and implement the company’s performance management system as a tool for ensuring the corporate and individual employees’ performance is well managed towards achievement of the organization’s goals
    • and objectives.
    • HR Information Systems – Oversee continuous improvement of the Human Resources Information systems and digitalization projects in line with process improvement objectives.
    • Payroll and Compliance – provide support to the payroll and benefits team to ensure timely payroll administration, remittance of payroll-related statutory compliance, and audits.
    • HR Policy and Process Compliance and Review - Drive forward the implementation of the company’s existing Human Resources strategies, policies, and procedures and formulation of new ones as may be necessary.
    • Oversee the organisation’s central and Annex office administrative function
    • Supervise and manage the performance of subordinates to ensure the effectiveness of routine service.


    • A bachelor's degree in Management, Administration, or other business/personnel-related coursesDemonstrated expertise training managers and employees
    • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
    • Attention to detail and good judgement
    • A minimum of 6 years of Human Resource experience.
    • Ability to design and implement strategies and policies.
