As a Mid-level full-stack engineer at Klak, you will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from designing user interfaces to building robust back-end systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to
identify opportunities for automating and streamlining financial operations for African businesses.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with designers and product managers to understand and translate requirements into functional and user-friendly applications
Design and develop engaging user interfaces using modern front-end technologies
Build secure and scalable back-end systems using Node.js and Typescript
Develop and manage databases using PostgreSQL and MySQL
Implement APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end components
Write clean, modular, maintainable, and well-documented code
Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure code quality and functionality
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues
Requirements
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with 3+ years of experience
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including frameworks and libraries like React, Node.js, or Next.js)
Solid understanding of back-end development concepts like server-side programming, databases, and APIs
Experience with React, Node.js, Typescript, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Nest.js, and MySQL is a must
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience working on fintech Saas projects is a plus
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and version control systems (Git)
