The significant gender gaps in education, economic empowerment and political participation in Nigeria are glaring and are cyclical. Discriminatory laws and practices, violence against women and gender stereotypes hinder greater progress towards gender equality.

    Human Resources Administrative Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
    • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and retention strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local and international employment legislation.
    • Coordinate and execute employee training and development initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Manage payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Provide guidance and support to management on employee relations, performance issues, and disciplinary matters.
    • Develop, implement, and update company policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and organizational objectives.
    • Supervise administrative functions, including office management, facility coordination, and vendor relations.
    • Manage company-wide HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership in strategic HR planning, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Handle complex employee inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide consistent support across departments.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
    • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in HR and administration, with a proven track record of managing HR functions in a mid-to-large-sized organization.
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and the ability to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
    • Advanced proficiency in HR software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (experience with HRIS systems is a plus).
    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • High emotional intelligence and the ability to handle delicate employee matters with discretion and empathy.
