    Human Resource Manager

    Job Summary:

    The HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing the HR department at House Unlimited Nigeria. This role will focus on developing HR strategies, overseeing recruitment and onboarding, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Manager will work closely with senior management to align HR initiatives with business goals, supporting organizational growth and employee satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic HR Planning:
      • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
      • Design and oversee policies and procedures to improve organizational culture and productivity.
      • Participate in executive meetings to provide HR insights and solutions.
    2. Recruitment & Onboarding:
      • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection.
      • Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company.
      • Work with department heads to assess staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
    3. Employee Relations & Engagement:
      • Address and resolve employee grievances and conflicts professionally and in line with company policy.
      • Organize employee engagement initiatives, promoting a positive work environment.
      • Conduct regular surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and propose actionable improvements.
    4. Performance Management:
      • Oversee performance appraisal processes, ensuring fairness and consistency.
      • Provide guidance on goal setting, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms.
      • Develop and monitor career development plans and succession planning programs.
    5. Learning & Development:
      • Assess training needs and coordinate training programs to build skills and increase productivity.
      • Foster a learning culture by organizing workshops, seminars, and professional development programs.
      • Monitor the effectiveness of training initiatives and make adjustments as needed.
    6. Compensation & Benefits Administration:
      • Review and manage compensation packages to ensure competitiveness within the industry.
      • Oversee payroll processing and benefit administration, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
      • Analyze compensation trends and make recommendations to maintain a fair and motivating pay structure.
    7. Compliance & Risk Management:
      • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
      • Update and enforce company policies to maintain a compliant and ethical work environment.
      • Manage employee documentation, including contracts, performance records, and disciplinary actions.
    8. HR Analytics & Reporting:
      • Track and analyze HR metrics to monitor employee turnover, absenteeism, and other key indicators.
      • Prepare regular HR reports for management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
      • Use data to inform HR strategies and enhance overall HR function effectiveness.
    9. Health, Safety, & Welfare:
      • Promote workplace safety and ensure that health and safety policies are adhered to.
      • Coordinate health initiatives, employee wellness programs, and crisis management when needed.
    10. Other Duties as Assigned:
      • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as required by senior management.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPM, CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a similar industry.
    • Skills: Strong understanding of labor laws and best HR practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office.
    • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with a strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities.
    • Other: High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical standards.
