    Human Resource Business Partner

    Role Overview

    • The HR Business Partner is a key player in our HR strategy, working closely with leadership and local teams to advise, support, and lead HR operations in a dynamic, multicultural environment. The HRBP will actively contribute to HR planning and the implementation of HR policies and processes that align with Koolboks’ business goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify HR needs across the company, and develop strategies to attract and retain top talent.
    • Supervise recruitment, HR administration, HR data management, onboarding, exits, and disciplinary processes, ensuring smooth and compliant operations in all countries.
    • Design and implement an attractive and structured onboarding program to ensure successful integration of new hires.
    • Develop and deploy a clear competency framework for each role to support career development and guide performance evaluations.
    • Create and manage training programs to strengthen employee skills and capabilities.
    • Advise and support managers on all HR matters, including performance management, talent development, and employee relations.
    • Ensure HR policies comply with local labor laws and are aligned with Koolboks’ company culture.
    • Establish and track key HR metrics to improve processes and inform strategic decisions.
    • Actively manage employee performance and resolve workplace conflicts effectively.
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment across all teams.

    Required Skills and Profile

    • Proven experience as an HRBP or similar HR leadership role, ideally in a start-up or multicultural environment.
    • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, especially in recruitment, performance management, and competency frameworks.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise and influence managers effectively.
    • Solid understanding of labor laws in Africa, particularly Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda.
    • Ability to work proactively and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Fluency in English (French is a plus).
