HSE Manager - Premium Cassava Products Ltd, Ososa at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

PURPOSE

To further FMN PLC’s commitment to maintain a culture of safe behavior, minimize risk to people, property, and the environment, by developing and facilitating the implementation of the Organization health safety and environmental framework, and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.

THE JOB

• To develop a HSE policy that is consistent with the business strategy, drivers, and culture and that supports productivity and success.
• To work cross-functionally in the BU as a critical business partner, fostering a culture that drives a positive safety culture and climate, while supporting operational productivity and success.
• To interpret and comply with laws and regulations that govern the Business Unit’s operations.
• To develop and implement assurance mechanisms that routinely check that the BU’s risk profile is accurate, sufficient control is in place and risk management is effective.
• To work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop safe working practices, plan activities, assign responsibilities, and implement management procedures.

THE PERSON MUST  

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Have strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards and stakeholders’ management abilities.
• Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Have great organizational and time management abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BSC/HND in Environmental Science or   Engineering.
• MSc in Business Administration is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years experience in FMCG/Oil & Gas.
• NEBOSH and other relevant certificate is an added adva
