Job Summary

• The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment by implementing health and safety policies, monitoring workplace practices, and reducing risks to employees, clients, and the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
• Prepare and maintain safety reports and documentation
• Organize health and safety training for staff
• Monitor the use of safety equipment and PPE
• Promote a strong safety culture within the organization
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and emergency services when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., HSE Level 1, 2, or 3)
• Proven experience in health and safety management (1–3 years minimum)
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and training ability
• Attention to detail and strong reporting skills.
