The ESG Officer supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This role ensures the organization operates sustainably and stays compliant with environmental regulations, labor standards, and ethical governance within the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor waste management, water usage, and emissions; conduct audits and track performance indicators across farm operations.
Coordinate CSR and community engagement; monitor labor standards, employee welfare, and health/safety (HSE).
Monitor adherence to ethical standards and internal policies; assist in developing ESG procedures and supporting internal audits.
Collect and analyze data to prepare monthly and quarterly ESG performance reports and track KPIs.
Organize awareness campaigns and training sessions on sustainability and compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Sustainability, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Additional training or certification in ESG, Sustainability, HSE, or Compliance (Highly advantageous).
3–5 years of progressive experience in ESG, sustainability, HSE, or compliance.
Proven experience within Agriculture, Manufacturing, or heavy operational environments.
Deep familiarity with environmental regulations, labor laws, and sustainability practices.
Strong data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and board-level reporting.
Willingness to work in a combination of office and field-based farm environments, including regular travel and site inspections.
