    HR Generalist

    The Human Resource Generalist is involved in the execution of all human resources (HR) tasks for the school. Core responsibilities are centred around recruitment, compensation and benefit, employee relations and other HR services. Acts as the first point of contact for all HR-related issues/queries from external parties and employees.

    Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

     

     

      

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    ·       Liaise constantly with other members of the team in the design and implementation of company policies.

    ·       Understands and executes staffing requisition, requirements and issues from all departments

    ·       Draft and update of documents such as job descriptions, employee handbook, performance appraisal, forms, SOP, policies and other HR related documents.

    ·       Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

    ·       Sourcing candidates strategically by resume shortlisting, phone interview and personal interviews with coordination with the concerned departments & background verification of the shortlisted candidates

    ·       Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. 

    ·       Participate in workplace conflict resolution and investigations

    ·       Issuing Letter of Offer/Intent/Employment to the selected candidate and managing negotiations

    ·       Maintain employees’ leaves, medical and attendance record. Keeping track of employees’ attendance / absenteeism and report to Head, Human Resources.

    ·       Familiar with the use of HR technology(ies)

    ·       Review, update and maintain proper filing such as employees’ medical insurance policies

    ·       Onboards new hires and ensure seamless transition to the work environment. Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

    ·       Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff

    ·       Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

    ·       Performs other duties as assigned.

     

     

     

     

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    ·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    ·       Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

    ·       Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    ·       Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

    ·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    ·       Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

    ·       Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

    ·       Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

    ·       Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    ·       Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

     

    Education and Experience:

     

    ·       Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

    ·       At least 3-5 year of human resource management experience preferred.

    ·       CIPM /SHRM/HRCI Membership is an added
