Higher Executive Officer-ICT at Doviana College of Education

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ICT INFRASTRUCTURE & SUPPORT

•  Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, projectors, scanners, and other ICT equipment
• Manage college LAN/WAN, WiFi, and internet connectivity across campus
• Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for staff and students
• Maintain ICT inventory and asset register

SOFTWARE & SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT

• Support and manage college management systems: Student Portal, E-Learning LMS, ERP, Admission Portal, Result Processing System
• Install and update software, antivirus, and operating systems
• Manage user accounts, emails, and access rights for staff and students
• Ensure regular data backup and disaster recovery procedures

DIGITALIZATION & E-LEARNING

• Support digitization of records: student files, results, admission documents
• Assist lecturers with setup for physical, online, and blended classes - Zoom, Google Meet, LMS
• Upload learning materials, videos, and assessments to the college LMS
• Train staff and students on basic ICT tools: MS Office, Google Workspace, Email

WEBSITE & COMMUNICATION

• Update college website and social media with academic content
• Manage bulk SMS and email communication for admissions and announcements
• Support virtual meetings, webinars, and accreditation presentations

COMPLIANCE & REPORTING

• Ensure ICT operations comply with NCCE, NBTE, and data protection policies
• Prepare monthly reports on ICT activities, challenges, and recommendations
• Liaise with vendors for maintenance and procurement of ICT equipment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: HND / BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field

Experience: 2-3 years experience in ICT support, networking, or systems administration. Experience in tertiary institution is an advantage

Technical Skills:

• Hardware troubleshooting, networking, LAN/WAN setup
• MS Office, Google Workspace, Windows, Linux basics
• Website CMS: WordPress. LMS: Moodle, Google Classroom
• Database basics: MySQL. Cloud storage: Google Drive, OneDrive
• CCTV, biometric, and projector setup is an advantage

Soft Skills:

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Problem-solving and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to train non-technical staff

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant professional certifications: CCNA, CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Google IT Support - added advantage
• TRCN registration if posted to support teaching
• Knowledge of NCCE ICT requirements for Colleges of Education

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Uptime of internet, LMS, and college portal
• Response time to ICT support tickets
• % of staff trained on digital tools per semester
• Successful support for exams, admissions, and accreditation
