About This Role

The Business Development Associate will play a pivotal role in expanding our client's market share by driving the acquisition of high-value corporate and SME clients. You will directly impact the organization’s bottom line by leveraging your expertise in FX markets and payment solutions to convert prospects and scale our cross-border payment volume.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact sales pitches for corporate and SME clients, presenting sophisticated FX market insights, hedging strategies, and liquidity management solutions.
• Manage the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting and initial outreach to final competitive pricing negotiation and contract closing.
• Develop and execute targeted account-based strategies to acquire new business and deepen existing relationships within Nigeria’s corporate sector.
• Utilize CRM tools to track pipeline performance, manage client documentation, and report on revenue growth metrics to executive leadership.
• Implement effective sales documentation and proposals using Microsoft Office suite to present tailored cross-border payment structures.
• Monitor market trends to provide actionable feedback on competitive pricing and product enhancements to the internal product development team.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of professional experience in FX sales, corporate banking, or the fintech sector with a proven track record of successful client acquisition.
• In-depth knowledge of payment rails, cross-border payment mechanisms, and complex hedging strategies for business clients.
• Strong existing network within the Nigerian corporate and SME landscape, capable of driving rapid market entry.
• Demonstrated excellence in high-stakes negotiation, with the ability to manage multiple complex client relationships simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency in CRM platforms and the Microsoft Office suite for data-driven sales management.
• Ability to operate effectively within a hybrid work model while maintaining consistent productivity and output.
