    Heavy Earth Moving Machine (HEMM) - Technicians

    Key Responsibilities
    Inspection & Diagnostics:

    • Conduct routine inspections on heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and dump trucks
    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment
    • Identify wear and tear, leaks, or potential failures before breakdown occurs

    Maintenance & Servicing:

    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HEMM equipment
    • Change engine oil, filters, hydraulic fluids, and other consumables
    • Lubricate moving parts and ensure optimal machine performance
    • Follow OEM maintenance schedules and standards

    Repairs & Overhauls:

    • Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems
    • Carry out major overhauls and rebuilds of engines and machine components
    • Troubleshoot and fix electrical and electronic control systems

    Hydraulic & Electrical System Management:

    • Maintain and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, and cylinders
    • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in wiring, sensors, and control panels
    • Ensure proper calibration and functioning of machine systems

    Safety Compliance:

    • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies
    • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
    • Ensure machines are safe to operate before releasing them for use

    Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
    • Prepare service reports and update maintenance logs
    • Report recurring issues and recommend improvements

    Equipment Testing & Commissioning:

    • Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality
    • Assist in commissioning of new or overhauled machines
    • Monitor machine performance during operation when required

    Spare Parts & Inventory Support:

    • Identify and request required spare parts and tools
    • Ensure proper handling and storage of parts
    • Support inventory control and stock management

    Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with operators, supervisors, and engineers
    • Provide technical support and guidance to machine operators
    • Assist in training junior technicians when necessary

    Field Support:

    • Attend to breakdowns on-site or in remote locations
    • Provide quick and effective troubleshooting under pressure
    • Ensure minimal downtime of equipment.

    Requirements
