    Head Supply Chain - Head Office

    Job Description

    This job role provides strategic direction for the company's operation by procuring qualitative goods, and services. 

    Job Requirements

    1. A Bachelor’s degree in any field.
    2. Membership of relevant professional bodies.
    3. Possession of relevant certifications is an added advantage.
    4. At least 10 years’ experience in supply chain and administration at least 5 years in a supervisory role.

    Technical Competencies

    1. Adequate knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
    2. Procurement Management.  
    3. Inventory Management.
    4. Vendor Selection & Management.
    5. Safety and Health Compliance.
    6. Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.
    7. Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
    8. In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
    9. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.

    Behavioral Competencies

    1. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
    2. Good oral and written communication skills.
    3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    Job Responsibility

    1. Defines and develops a comprehensive end-to-end Supply Chain strategy including performance benchmarks in line with the business strategy.
    2. Oversees the forecasting of demand levels for services and products to meet business needs.
    3. Ensure procurement of high-value materials and equipment in line with approval. 
    4. Defines operational strategies to ensure the efficient/cost-effective supply and timely delivery of equipment and materials in compliance with company policies or procedures and statutory regulations.
    5. Coordinates the identification of risks associated with procurement, facility management, and fleet management to ensure seamless business operation
    6. Liaises with project owners to monitor the progress and completion of approved projects.
    7. Accountable for leading procurement activities across IBEDC including new bids and ongoing operational activities.
    8. Develop contractual arrangements with preferred suppliers recognized for delivering the best value and high-quality service to IBEDC.
    9. Oversees proper maintenance and upkeep of IBEDC assets (land, buildings, offices, warehouses, stores, vehicles, etc.) - optimize operational assets.
    10. Liaise with other stakeholders to develop and update Asset Disposal Policy.
    11. Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
    12. Perform any other duties as requested by the MD/ CEO.
