    Head, Operations

    JOB SUMMARY:         

    The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Company and the employees. He ensures that everything is running smoothly, from Customer Service to Compliance with regulators and regulations. He deals with clearing/settlement Banks and Treasury Operations. He/ She may also be tasked with developing new strategies or initiatives to improve the performance of the company and increase profitability. This will include implementing new technology systems, improving employee training programs, or even changing how certain products or services are delivered to customers.

     

    RESPONSBILITIES

    • Responsible for effectiveness and efficiency of the company, Team development, Team morale and implementation of the company’s code of conduct at the various levels in operations.
    • Develop strategies to minimize customer complaints and suggest ways of managing the public image of the company.
    • Oversee the customer service unit.
    • Oversee funds transfers and manage cash accordingly.
    • Liaise with the Financial Controller to ensure timely preparations of annual budget, quarterly budget review, forecasts and business plans.
    • Develop business relationship with potential customers as well as existing customers with the view to strengthening the company’s customer relationship base.
    • Analyze the business environment and make recommendations on the development of new products and enhance existing products to grow the company’s customer base and outreach.
    • Provide advice on all operations issue.
    • Appraise the operational system in place and monitor the implementation of the company’s operation manuals, making appropriate recommendation regarding the need for change.
    • Responsible for delivering budget results of the company.
    • Co-ordinate the activities of the company and handle all operation issue including computerization, change management and balancing of books.
    • Ensure operations are running smoothly.

     

    SKILLS             

    • Must have a demonstrated sound knowledge of digital operations.
    • Must have a demonstrated sound knowledge of digital credit operations.
    • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
    • Excellent Organizational Skills and Report writing skills
    • High level of Integrity, Tenacity and Commitment
    • Problem solving, negotiation and lateral thinking skills
    • Good Relationship and time management
    • Ability to work independently

     

     

    QUALIFICATION

    • Must have a first degree (Bsc/HND) in any related discipline
    • Possession of CIBN certification will be an added advantage.

     

    EXPERIENCE

    Must have minimum of 8 years post NYSC work experience with 2 years in senior management level in the operations department of a Banking Institution.
