Head of Project Delivery at Africa Youth Growth Foundation

Job Identification

• The project delivery is a Pillar coordinating activities of four strategic departments – these include programes, business development and partnership, research and development, communication, monitoring, and evaluation departments. 
• This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and operational excellence to ensure projects meet their objectives, deadlines, and budgets while aligning with AYGF’s mission and values.

Job Responsibilies

• Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure efficient delivery of AYGF initiatives.
• Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to enhance project success.
• Ensure that all projects adhere to donor and organizational policies, as well as national and international standards.
• Lead and mentor project teams to enhance capacity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Represent AYGF in meetings, conferences, and other engagements related to project delivery.
• Work with internal and external teams to secure funding and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Work with the finance team to track expenditures, generate financial reports, and optimize resource allocation.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project progress to donors, stakeholders, and management.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all project activities.

Job Qualifications

• A minimum of Master’s Degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields with at least 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on non-profit or development sectors.
• The Candidate should possess strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
