Head of Production at Ayoola Foods Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a Head of Production who is a Food Science and Technology graduate to manage daily production operations.
• The ideal candidate for this position should hold a HND / B.Sc. / M.Sc. Degree and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
• Having prior experience in the food industry that specializes in working with flour products similar to the ones available in our range of products will be considered an added advantage.

Job Description
The job description includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Ensuring that production staff comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.Ps), Good Hygiene Practices (G.H.Ps) and Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.Ps) before commencing each day’s work and at all times.
• Ensure that the processing and packaging areas are compliant with Good Housekeeping (G.H.K) standards before and after production.
• Communicating daily production plans with the team and ensuring timely availability of resources to achieve production targets.
• Ability to work efficiently to minimize raw and packaging materials waste.
• Working with the technical department to ensure that the machines are maintained according to the scheduled maintenance plan.
• Liaising with the quality control department to ensure processing and packaging activities are carried out according to set standards.
• Developing operational systems that will comply with the standards of both National and International Food Regulatory Bodies. (SOPs, Health &Safety, HACCP Plan)
• Liaising with the warehouse daily to determine stock levels and packing products based on sales volume.
• Ensure that the processing and packaging areas are sanitized every week
• Ensuring that machines and equipment are cleaned daily before and after use.
• Daily documentation of quality parameters of all products during packaging operation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports to be reviewed by senior management
• Enforcing discipline and orderliness in the production halls at all times.
• Any other function as may be assigned by the company necessary to the achievement of the company goals.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess HND / Bachelor's / Master's Degrees in Food Science and Technology with 10+ years relevant work experience.
