Our client, an emerging leader in the Audio-Visual (AV) industry, is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Head of Finance to lead its financial operations across all business units. This is a crucial leadership role that goes beyond traditional accounting; the successful candidate must be a true business partner that will help shape the group's financial future.
The ideal candidate will embody the group's core values of Excellence, Integrity, and Innovation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that support the collective vision of becoming the cornerstone of AV excellence in West Africa, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and sound financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute the group's overarching financial strategy, including long-term financial modeling, forecasting, and investment planning. Provide strategic insights to senior leadership to guide business decisions.
Performance Management: Establish and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) for each business unit. Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
Operational Oversight: Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls. Ensure all financial activities are transparent, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Capital & Resource Management: Manage the group's capital structure, and explore financing options to support expansion and new projects. Oversee resource allocation across the business units to maximize profitability and efficiency.
Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor the finance teams within each subsidiary, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. Act as a strategic partner to the heads of other departments, aligning financial goals with operational and strategic initiatives.
Risk Management: Develop and implement robust risk management policies and procedures to protect the group’s assets and ensure financial stability.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience as a financial expert with aspirations to becoming a financial Controller, or CFO within a group of companies or a multi-subsidiary structure.
A strong background in strategic financial planning, project finance, analysis, and risk management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to use financial data to drive business growth and strategic decisions.
A history of upholding the highest standards of Integrity and professionalism in all financial dealings.
Experience in the technology, retail, or a related sector is a plus.
