    Head, Investment (Deposit Mobilization)

    About the job

    • The Head, Deposit Mobilization, would be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Investment department, including team management, sales, and ensuring adequate financial liquidity relevant to the business and financial activities of the bank. He/she would be grossly responsible for ensuring liquidity by mobilizing funds for the company, monitoring and executing action plans to achieve overall funds and sales target allocated.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Sales Enablement and commercialization
    • Strategic Planning
    • Business Transformation
    • Target setting and actualization
    • Analytics

    Other duties and responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute the department’s strategic objectives in line with the bank’s
    • Provide strategic advice to the MD with an accurate view of the market and the bank’s future.
    • Innovate and develop attractive value-added deposit products and marketing strategies based on field experience.
    • Lead and coordinate a portfolio of strategic sales and partnerships related to growth initiatives to accelerate go-to-market and drive commercial outcomes.
    • Drive and meet assigned sales targets and quota of the company
    • Responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the activities of the Investment/deposit mobilization sales teams to drive deposit mobilization
    • Source appropriately priced and structured deposit liabilities for the company from individual and corporate sources through the sale of specially designed investment products.
    • Marketing and sale of all bank’s deposit products
    • Meeting and exceeding sales target as assigned by board/management
    • Innovate and develop attractive value-added deposit products and marketing strategies based on field experience.
    • Continually generate a viable pipeline of prospects/potential clients within the desired target market that will ensure the achievement of the set personal and departmental targets
    • Contribute to the development of new products and/or better marketing strategies. etc.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Economics, Finance or any related field
    • Knowledge of banking, sales, accounting, and finance
    • At least, 7 years of experience in a commercial/MF bank or a financial services sector as a head of deposit sales, liability generation manager, head of sales, head of business or sales manager
    • Strong presentation and Negotiation skills
    • Verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven experience meeting and exceeding personal and team targets
    • Proven experience building and maintaining a strong client base of HNIs
