    Head, Alternative Investment

    Industry: Finance

    Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

    Report Line: MD, ASSET AND PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate the activities but not limited to private equity, venture capital and other ventures outside the traditional investments.
    • Responsible for driving infrastructure edge funds and other non-core funds.
    • Responsible for coordinating the identification and evaluation of new markets, identifying business opportunities and prospecting for new clients to improve the company’s market position and achieve financial growth.
    • Keep abreast with market and industry trends.
    • Develop and explore various business strategies and opportunities for growth within the Nigerian Economy.
    • Evaluate the market penetration of company’s products and services to ensure growth and repositioning of Alternative Investment   within the Investment banking and financial advisory sphere in Nigeria, Africa and Internationally.
    • Actively drive and contribute to business operations and productivity within company’s and leverage opportunities presented towards increased revenue in the company.
    • Assist in building and presenting investment cases for specific investment/ business opportunities, by providing all necessary information needed to make investment and business decisions.
    • Support the preparation of investment/business memoranda and related formal presentations and reports for the management committee and clients.
    • Provide support to ensure that all compliance & regulatory requirements are met and adhered to.
    • Support the development of periodic reports to key stakeholders.
    • Nurture and develop all virile business lines across the different divisions within department.
    • Understand the Organization’s business and seeks to constantly maintain continuous engagement with key executive stakeholders within target organizations.
    • Work in concert with the Head, of Managing Director to achieve the Organization’s objectives and corporate goals, vision, and mission.
    • Lead, mentor and build a formidable team of employees with requisite expertise and the right culture.
    • Do all such things as may be ancillary to the responsibilities listed and may be reasonably required of your office towards the overall growth of all practice areas in the Organization.

    Job Requirement:

    • Minimum – BSc in Social Sciences or related course
    • A relevant master’s degree or professional qualifications in Estate Management will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10 years post NYSC experience with exposure in financial reporting, financial modelling, business development, relationship management, funds, and portfolio management,
    • Candidate should not be more than 35 years.

    • Proven excellent track record of achievement in this role or similar role in a dynamic corporate environment.
    • Ability to coordinate and manage projects and investments.
    • Ability to recognize business opportunity; conduct and report feasibility studies.
    • Ability to think strategically whilst maintaining a pragmatic perspective.
    • Ability to build and nurture strategic business relationships.
    • Ability to provide business acumen, energy, and vision to the organization.
    • Ability to conduct high level competitor analysis and benchmarking.

    Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite

    • Expert knowledge of the investment, credit, and estate management.
    • Thorough understanding of how to source credit and strategies to yield returns.
    • Strong project management and monitoring skills.
