    General Manager

    Job Summary

    • Our Client in the Hospitality business is looking for a General Manager to oversee the successful operations of their business.
    • The General Manager will collaborate closely with the client to ensure and oversee all aspects of the hotel's daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient team management, and adherence to brand standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, organize, and coordinate the overall hotel operations to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction and profitability.
    • Oversee and monitor the performance of various departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and more.
    • Ensure that the hotel consistently delivers exceptional guest service and maintains a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.
    • Address guest concerns, complaints, and feedback promptly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to department heads and staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
    • Collaborate with department heads to recruit, train, and develop employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
    • Assist in the preparation and management of the hotel's budget, monitoring expenses and revenue performance to achieve financial goals.
    • Ensure controls are in place to limit theft, pilferage, and wastage.
    • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality and service standards.
    • Ensure the hotel operates in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and brand standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service quality.
    • Conduct sales efforts by participating in client meetings, online presence, client presentations, and negotiations.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, corporate clients, suppliers, and local community stakeholders.
    • Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, and promotional activities, where needed.
    • Implement emergency procedures and protocols, ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff in various situations.
    • Identify areas for improvement within the hotel's operations and processes and recommend solutions for enhanced efficiency and guest satisfaction.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive analysis, and best practices.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
    • Demonstrated success in overseeing multiple departments and achieving operational excellence.
    • Proven experience in hotel management, preferably as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Financial acumen and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
    • Proficiency in property management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards.
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
