    Fundraising, Development, and Partnership Officer

    Role Overview

    • The Fundraising, Development, and Partnership Officer at the Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria (CHDFNigeria) will lead the organization’s efforts to secure financial and strategic support for its programs and initiatives. This senior-level role involves designing and executing fundraising campaigns, cultivating donor relationships, and forging impactful partnerships with corporate, philanthropic, and institutional stakeholders.
    • The officer will work closely with the executive team to align resource mobilization strategies with CHDFNigeria’s mission to improve the lives of children affected by congenital heart disease. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fundraising and partnership development, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to social impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual and long-term financial goals.
    • Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and institutional partners.
    • Prepare compelling grant proposals, donor reports, and fundraising materials.
    • Organize fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagement activities.
    • Collaborate with program and communications teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
    • Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance and provide regular reports to leadership.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, or partnership management, preferably in the non-profit or health sector.
    • Proven track record of securing significant funding from diverse sources (grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donors).
    • Strong proposal writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilities.
    • Knowledge of donor landscape in Nigeria and internationally is an asset.
    • Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
