Project Supervisor at Benek Engineering

Role Summary

• Supervise and coordinate field execution of pipeline construction, tank farm projects, wellhead materials installation and maintenance, civil works, flow-station pumps installations, etc. Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day field activities for pipeline, flow-station, tank farm, wellhead, and civil works projects.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, interface management and equipment deployment at project sites.
• Ensure strict compliance with BECL QHSE policies, client HSE requirements, and Nigerian regulations.
• Monitor project progress against schedule and report deviations to the Project Manager.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and pre-task briefings.
• Manage materials, consumables, and equipment at site level.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports with accurate records of work done.
• Interface with client site representatives and regulatory inspectors.

Minimum Requirements

• B.Eng / HND / OND in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in oil and gas field operations (pipeline, wellhead, tank farm, or civil works).
• Proven track record of supervising construction crews on live oil and gas sites.
• Strong understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and field HSE procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometrics.
• Completion of NYSC (mandatory).

Added Advantage:

• Trade Test certification (Federal or State).
• NEBOSH or ISPON certification.
• Experience on Shell, AGIP, Chevron, SEPLAT, or Total Energy project sites.
• Competency in pipeline welding inspection or NDT awareness.
