    Project Supervisor

    Ref: BECL/2026/PS-002

    Role Summary

    • Supervise and coordinate field execution of pipeline construction, tank farm projects, wellhead materials installation and maintenance, civil works, flow-station pumps installations, etc. Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise day-to-day field activities for pipeline, flow-station, tank farm, wellhead, and civil works projects.
    • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, interface management and equipment deployment at project sites.

    Public Liaison Officer

    Role Summary

    • Manage BECL relationships with host communities, government agencies, traditional rulers, and other external stakeholders in the Niger Delta.
    • Ensure smooth project execution by proactively managing community engagement, resolving disputes, and maintaining the company social licence to operate.

    • Review and approve welding procedure specifications (WPS).
    • Develop procedure qualification records (PQR), material traceability certificates (MTCs), and non-destructive test (NDT) reports.
    • Manage and coordinate third-party inspection activities (TPI, classification societies).
    • Conduct internal audits and manage corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
    • Ensure traceability of materials and compliance with positive material identification (PMI) requirements.
    • Maintain quality records, NCR registers, and inspection documentation for client and regulatory review.
    • Interface with clients, DPR, and certification bodies on quality matters.

    Minimum Requirements

    • B.Eng / HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science / Engineering, or other related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC in oil and gas construction, fabrication, or maintenance.
    • Strong working knowledge of API (650, 1104, 570, 510), ASME (B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, Section IX), and AWS D1.1.
    • Experience with NDT methods (UT, RT, MPI, DPI, X-Ray, etc.) and interpretation of NDT reports.
    • Hands-on experience with welding inspection, pipeline construction QC, and pressure testing.
    • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 QMS implementation and auditing.
    • Completion of NYSC or exemption (mandatory).

    Added Advantage:

    • CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 Welding Inspector certification.
    • ASNT NDT Level II or III certification.
    • AWS Level 3 Welding Inspection.
    • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
    • NACE or SSPC Coating Inspector certification.
    • API 510/570/653 Inspector certification.
    • Experience with Shell DEPs or Chevron / Total project quality specifications.

    Remuneration
    Competitive and commensurate with experience.
