Food & Beverage Cashier at Workforce Group

Job Overview

• The F&B cashier is instrumental to fulfilling the short/long term goals for the property and executing the F&B philosophy and brand.
• This position is responsible for creating an atmosphere that will inspire guests and associates to return.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions and calculate the cost of products or services. Accept payments.
• Calculate and return change when required by the payment method.
• Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change.
• Handle cash and credit transactions. Being a Food & Beverage Cashier maintains receipts, records, and withdrawals.
• May be responsible for checking materials and supplies and reporting when stock is low.
• Additionally, Food & Beverage Cashier may require a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit.
• Issue receipts and change or tickets.
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
• Maintain a positive work environment by working and communicating in a courteous and professional manner with all guests and co-workers.
• Forward resort, reservations, group business and special requests or functions to the Food and Beverages supervisor.
• 100% cash accuracy - works with Accounts office to correct deficiencies immediately.
• Proper use of POS including product and payment methods
• Product knowledge of all food and beverage menus - ability to make suggestions to guests
• Maintains cleanliness of facility
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand most of the day; the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Requirements

• Level Required: Minimum of O’ Level or OND
• Experience: 2 years + experience in similar role in the hospitality industry.

• Attention to detail.

Working hours:

• On shift basis, with options for off days. However, this will be communicated to the successful candidate before resumption.
