We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Finance Officer to join our team.

Job Summary

The Junior Finance Officer will support the finance team in managing accounting records, financial transactions, and reporting activities. This role is ideal for fresh graduates with 1 to 2 years’ experience with a degree in Accounting or Finance who have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and are currently undergoing or have completed their ICAN certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Record and maintain financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
• Assist in tax computations, filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Support cost analysis and financial forecasting to enhance decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must have completed the 1year compulsory National Youth Service Corps, NYSC with 1-2 years working experience.
• ICAN certification in progress or completed.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is an added advantage
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
