Provide feedback to the accounting department on how to improve on internal controls, and also pinpoint areas where risks relating to banking transactions can be minimized
Assist auditors – internal and external – with documentation required for the auditors to do their job satisfactorily
Reconcile and process transactions that are complex in nature
Maintain required files, reports, and data
Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in all reconciliation activities
Improve personal skill set regarding software proficiency, financial analysis and data processing
File all prepared accounts in a well-organized manner
Perform all other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization
To analyse and provide supportive financial & Sales data
To monitor average debtors days and report to Chief Finance Officer
To provide ageing analysis and client performance analysis on weekly/monthly basis
Maintain service level agreement between Finance and business units
To track the variance in sales team daily call report and provide client performance to the sales team on weekly basis
To upload income from LIS into Sage
To provide active MIS reports monitoring clients patronage and flag non performing clients’ accounts
To review receivable Account Balances for trends analysis and/or possible errors weekly
To produce revenue report and analysis per standard reporting format; raise and enter revenue journal into Sage; print journals and revenue report and file the same
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA, or ICAN is a plus.
2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields.
Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modelling
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills
Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst
Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
