    Finance & Accounts Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Finance & Accounts Manager will oversee all financial operations of KCTC, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with both statutory and global healthcare finance standards.
    • This role is responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and supporting strategic decision-making by providing financial insights.
    • By embedding and ensuring robust compliance with international best practices, and building trust through financial stewardship, the Finance & Accounts Manager plays a key role in ensuring the sustainability and growth of KCTC.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, systems, and internal controls aligned with global healthcare best practices.
    • Prepare and present timely, accurate financial statements, management reports, and cash flow projections.
    • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with departments.
    • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and patient billing processes.
    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, pensions, PAYE, and statutory filings while embedding transparent, modern accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
    • Oversee audits (internal and external) and ensure prompt implementation of recommendations.
    • Develop financial models to guide investment, expansion, and cost-efficiency decisions.
    • Implement effective treasury and cash flow management practices.
    • Monitor procurement processes by verifying financial capacity, cost-effectiveness, and supplier accountability.
    • Implement robust internal risk control, ensuring capacity building and professional growth.
    • Provide financial insights to the CEO and Board to inform strategic decisions.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) required.
    • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS, healthcare finance, and financial management systems.
    • Minimum of 7–10 years progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in healthcare, large service organizations, or multinational/NGO environments highly desirable.
    • Proven experience in financial planning, audits, and reporting for complex organizations.

    Core Competencies & Skills:

    • Strong financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting abilities.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
    • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycles and patient billing systems preferred.
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
    • High level of integrity, accountability, and professional ethics.
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to translate financial data into meaningful operational insights.
    • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to influence strategic objectives.
