Field Service Specialist - Steam Turbines at Baker Hughes

As a Field Service Specialist, you will be coordinating and overseeing work at a field site, providing quality service to the customer. You will also coordinate and direct the activities of service operators. He/she will Provide the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.

As a Field Service Specialist- Steam Turbines, you will be responsible for:

• Performing in autonomy the Installation and/or Maintenance activities of BH and GE STEAM Turbines, and other Rotating equipment in the Field at Customer Site.
• Performing minor/major maintenance of equipment following the Baker Hughes Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
• Providing Technical supervision and advisory service to the Customer Representatives and Site Team to coordinate activities at the Customer Job Site.
• Executing all required responsibilities safely by following all Baker Hughes Service applicable processes and procedures.
• Providing expert troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the Field.
• Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality and Compliance).
• Performing other related duties as required according to the specified scope of work.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Have a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (please indicate clearly on resume)
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience mainly specialized in STEAM Turbines and/or Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines, and Centrifugal Compressors.
• Capable of carrying out the following activities without supervision:
• Minor inspection on a BH and GE STEAM Turbine.
• Major Inspection on a BH and GE STEAM Turbine.
• Commissioning activities on BH and GE STEAM Turbines.
• Be able to provide the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.
• Must have Excellent Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team working Skills.
• Capable to work offshore.
• Be able to travel flexibly, at short notice and be away from your home location for undefined periods of time up to 70%.
