    Facility Officer

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities

    • Manages the power function/system of the facility.
    • Plans strategy to ensure efficient management of assets – Manages, maintains and supports the reliability of the systems, equipment, properties and assets in the facility.
    • Maintains and operates the facilities – Manages resources including budget, staff, contractors, consultants and finances. 
    • Performs short term and long term planning for the property and Assists and guides the contractors in completing the tenders and manages the projects assigned 
    • Supervises development/monitoring of facilities maintenance program.
    • Directs all activities relating to contracted facility services, including but not limited to technical reviews, materials, equipment and product requisitions.
    • Detailed analysis and study of alternatives available as an adjunct to completing projects within the facility and possible areas of development in the facility in accordance with the established objectives.
    • Introduces changes in the facility without disturbing the ongoing process, thus increasing output and reducing operating costs.

    JOB SPECIFICATION/QUALIFICATION

    • BSc. or HND in Engineering, Architecture or any other related discipline
    • Membership of / certification from recognized Information Technology professional bodies                        
    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.

    KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Power competent & IT skills.
    • Capable of managing all facilities efficiently – Well-versed with project management activities, time management and team leadership.
    • Good organizational skills & Good spoken and written communication skills 
    • The ability to develop working relationships with a wide range of people 
    • Customer and client management skills & ability to manage a varied and complex workload 
    • Technical knowledge of building services & Problem solving and decision making ability 
    • Attention to details & Result oriented 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, Integrity & Proactive Self-Starter
    • Assertiveness & Tenacity, Versatile 
    • Organized & Ability to Work under Pressure with little or no supervision
