    Facility Manager

    JOD DESCRIPTION OF A FACILITY MANAGER

    • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
    • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
    • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
    • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
    • Supervise all staff facilities  (custodians, technicians, housekeepers etc.) and external contractors
    • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
    • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
    • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
    • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
    • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
    • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
    • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
    • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
    • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward staff and customers at all times. 
    • Carrying out all other tasks in the ordinary course of business which the management reasonably consider necessary or proper in the interest of the Company in your capacity as Facility Manager.

    REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

    • Proven experience as facility manager or relevant position
    • Proven experience in the hospitality industry for 5 years or more
    • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facility management best practices
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Good analytical/critical thinking
    • BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
