    Expediting and Logistics Officer

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with the procurement team to source and purchase materials and equipment as needed
    • Process purchase orders for suppliers, ask for discounts for cost control, and resolve all technical queries before order placement.
    • Follow up with shipping agents to know the best means of shipping and follow up with clearing agents to ensure shipments are cleared immediately on arrival to avoid any form of demurrage
    • Making sure the orders delivered are the same as what was ordered originally from the RFQ stage to PO issuance.
    • Participate in regular meetings with internal teams, clients, vendors, and partners to coordinate logistics and address any issues that arise
    • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and communicate any delays or issues to relevant stakeholders
    • Work closely with internal teams, external vendors, technical partners, and OEMs to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
    • Inform the accounting department of delivery status to enable invoicing to be done once GRN/Waybills are issued or signed.
    • Ensure that all shipments are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
    • Manage and track inventory levels to ensure that adequate stock is available to meet client needs
    • Follow up with the orders placed until the delivery point to the client's location
    • Sourcing for technical partners and negotiating with vendors/OEMs to enable seamless order placement
    • You are to generate bi-weekly and monthly reports and financial records showing
    • The different stages of our order are from PO issuance, payment stage, up to the delivery stage to the client.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics in the oil and gas industry (Upstream)
    • Strong knowledge of logistics processes and procedures, including shipping, customs regulations, and inventory management
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Analytics and or logistics software
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
