The Expatriate & Immigration Affairs Executive is responsible for managing all immigration processes and expatriate relations within the organization.
This role ensures compliance with local immigration laws, facilitates smooth onboarding for expatriates, and serves as a liaison between the company, expatriates, and government agencies.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of immigration policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive documentation efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee immigration processes, including work permits, residence permits, visa applications, and renewals.
Ensure compliance with all relevant immigration laws and regulations.
Act as the primary liaison between the organization and government immigration offices (e.g., Nigerian Immigration Service, embassies, and relevant agencies).
Coordinate the onboarding and relocation process for expatriate employees, including accommodation, cultural integration, and local registrations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all expatriate employees, including visa expirations and renewal schedules.
Provide guidance and support to expatriates on legal and compliance matters related to their stay.
Assist in resolving any expatriate-related immigration issues or disputes.
Work closely with HR, Legal, and Admin teams to ensure a seamless experience for expatriate staff.
Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and advise the organization accordingly.
Support in drafting and submitting immigration-related documentation and correspondence.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in immigration services, expatriate management, or a related HR/Admin role.
Strong understanding of immigration laws, visa processing, and expatriate management.
Experience liaising with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse cultures.
High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
