    Executive- Regulatory

    Responsibilities

    Coordinate with Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) for obtaining and renewing:

    • CNG Station Licenses (Construction, Operation, and Renewal).
    • Gas Storage and Distribution Permits.
    • Transportation Permits for CNG Cascades and Trailers.
    • Liaise with Federal Ministry of Environment, Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Fire Service, and Local Government Authorities for required No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and statutory clearances.
    • Maintain a tracker for all licenses, renewals, and permit validity dates to ensure continuous compliance.

    Documentation & Compliance

    • Prepare and submit regulatory documents, engineering drawings, HSE manuals, and application forms as per NMDPRA requirements.
    • Support the legal team with technical documentation for site due diligence and approval processes.
    • Ensure all stations comply with HSE, environmental, and operational standards mandated by NMDPRA.
    • Maintain digital and physical records of all regulatory submissions, correspondence, and approvals.

    Inspection & Coordination

    • Coordinate regulatory site inspections (pre-commissioning, safety audit, annual verification) with government inspectors.
    • Ensure readiness of documentation, equipment certification, and safety compliance before every inspection.
    • Liaise with station teams to close audit findings and submit compliance reports within timelines.
    • Provide weekly updates on inspection schedules, renewal progress, and pending submissions.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Maintain professional relationships with NMDPRA officials, Fire Service officers, and other government agencies.
    • Support management in representing Zeta Gas at regulatory meetings, stakeholder forums, and policy workshops.
    • Keep management informed about new government guidelines, circulars, and policy updates affecting CNG operations.

    Internal Coordination

    • Work closely with project, operations, and HSE departments to ensure all installations follow regulatory-approved designs and standards.
    • Support finance team for payment of license fees, inspection charges, and other regulatory costs.
    • Conduct internal awareness sessions to keep operations staff updated on compliance procedures.

    Requirements

    • Interested candidates should possess HND/Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 5 years’ work experience.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS office, word, excel and PowerPoint to maintain reports.
    • Ideal Candidates will be resident in the location or willing to relocate at their own expense.
    • Ability to work on weekends
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
