The Electric Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution equipment and infrastructure within the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) network.
This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the electrical distribution system by performing hands-on tasks, troubleshooting faults, and supporting the maintenance team.
The Electric Fitter will work under the supervision of a manager or supervisor to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
Requirements
Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field.
Certification or vocational training in electrical fitting or a related trade is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3-5 years post NYSC of hands-on experience in electrical fitting, preferably in the power distribution industry.
Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical distribution systems.
Strong technical skills in electrical fitting and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, equipment, and safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
