    Director of Partnerships & Communications AG

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify, build and retain financial and strategic (in-kind contributions, technical assistance etc) relationships with donors and key targeted partners.
    • Develop an advocacy strategy which should include the development and dissemination of evidence-based advocacy tools and research papers and policy briefs aimed at raising awareness of the importance of the public sector and health sector improvement.
    • Create and implement communication plans and campaigns for brand building, media relations, special events, fundraising, volunteer mobilization, crisis communications and increase public engagement through promotion of the Foundation’s activities/events.
    • Develop and implement an integrated communications plan that will raise the profile and credibility of the Foundation and strengthen the Foundation’s brand identity across key stakeholder audiences.
    • Recruit and manage a Communications and Advocacy team, to support the development and execution of the Communications and Advocacy strategies; promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
    • Proactive in planning, managing risks, identifying and addressing wider opportunities and threats, and using data to inform decisions and improve.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of a post-graduate degree in Management Science, Public Relations, Communication, Public Policy, International Relations, Development Studies, Nonprofit Management or other related fields.
    • Additional certification in areas such as strategic communication, fundraising, advocacy or nonprofit leadership is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10 – 15 years relevant professional experience.
