Director of Clinical Governance at Garki Hospital Abuja (GHA)

Description

• The Director of Clinical Governance will be responsible for leading and monitoring the clinical governance and patient safety agenda in our Hospital.
• The role ensures that clinical services are safe, effective, evidence – based, patient -centred and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, leadership and oversight of clinical risk management, quality improvement, professional development, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
Education & Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess an MBBS or its equivalent, fully registered with MDCN and have a current practising license.
• A postgraduate qualification in quality management, patient safety or healthcare leadership is required.

Experience:

• Candidates must also have a minimum of 10 years clinical expereince, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in clinical governance or hospital management.
• Demonstrated experience with audits, incident investigations and accreditation processes

Skills & Knowledge:

• Deep knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and patient safety principles. Strong leadrship, communication, and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with Nigerian healthcaer regulations and professional standards.
• Candidates for this position may work full – time or part -time in a senior management role.
• Candidates will also be expected to be available in high -priority situations involving clinical incidents.
